Autumn is a fabulous time for outdoor activities and crafts. You can go and forage for everything you need in the woods, a park or even just on a nature walk by your house.

You can also set up a language learning scavenger hunt for the items that you need!

However getting back to language learning tips.

1. Set realistic goals.
2. Integrate learning into your routine.
3. Use a Charlotte Mason approach focussing on vocabulary and short sentences with speaking and listening rather than grammar with writing and reading.
4. Make learning fun with games.
5. Embrace the outdoors.
6. Stay consistent but flexible
7. Keep a cultural connection

How do you spend quality relaxing time with your four legged friends?

I sometimes use this relaxed time to talk to Emily in her second language just a really short converstation about nothing in particular.

If she is very chatty I try not to correct her and just let her talk, to ensure that the conversation flows and she does not feel that she is being interrupted all the time.
