Nature is one of the most important habitats in which children should be able to move and learn well. The book is pedagogically and psychologically sound and very competently prepared by the author and invites you to discover a new language in nature in a playful way. Many classic questions for parents, such as “How is a rainbow created,” or “Why do we need bees?” , are answered in this book in a child-friendly way in both German and English. Craft instructions, flashcards and recipes make nature come alive and make learning an exciting adventure. You learn a lot of interesting things both linguistically and about nature. The extremely successful illustration of the book completes this overall work of art. A book that not only invites you to read and read aloud, but also as a reference work for high-quality leisure activities with children. If you are in the mood for an adventurous and playful language trip through nature, whether big or small, I can only highly recommend this book. I hope that the author will provide more books of this kind.

For us it’s a season of observation — and that makes it the perfect time to begin (or re-start) your Language Learning Notebook.

For children learning English as a foreign language, a notebook isn’t just a workbook, it’s a space for creativity, discovery, and connection with language. And you know I love the Inspiration from outdoors.

My Autumn Word Tree 🌳 is a fabulous way to focus on Vocabulary and Spelling.

Draw a big tree and write new English words on each branch or leaf. Add small pictures or nature stickers to make it more decorative.
